What is Study Suite?

A study tool with three ways to study — Review (spaced-repetition flashcards), Practice (one question at a time with instant feedback) and Exam (timed, scored mock tests) — plus Topic Guides and a Pharmacology drug index to read from. The app itself is empty — you load study packs that hold the questions, cards and guides. An account is optional and adds encrypted sync between your devices. It's currently in beta.

Is it really free?

Yes — completely free, with no ads, no tracking, and no account required. Studying runs entirely in your own browser, so there's nothing to charge for — and sync, the optional account feature, is free during the beta. If you want to chip in toward the costs of building it, there's an optional "Support development" link, but it's never required and unlocks nothing — the whole app is yours to use.

Where is my data stored? Can you see it?

Everything — your packs, review progress, scores, and settings — is stored locally in your own browser, on your own device. Without an account, none of it is sent anywhere. There's no analytics and no tracking cookies. If you turn on sync, your data is end-to-end encrypted on your device before it's uploaded — so either way, I genuinely can't see what you study or how you're doing.

How do I back up my progress or move to another device?

Use Backup all to save a file with everything in it, then Restore backup on your other device (or after clearing your browser). Today this is manual — automatic sync across devices is coming (see below). It's worth backing up now and then, since your progress lives in your browser and clearing site data would wipe it.

Does it work offline?

Yes, fully. The app is a single self-contained file. Once it's loaded in your browser — or installed to your home screen — it keeps working with no internet connection. Your packs and progress are right there on your device.

Can I add it to my phone or computer like a real app?

Yes — use Add to Home Screen (the app walks you through it for your device). One thing to know: an installed copy may keep its own separate storage from the browser version (on iPhone and iPad it always does). With an account, just sign in inside the installed app and everything syncs across. No account? Backup all first, then Restore backup inside the installed app.

Can I make my own study packs, or use my own notes?

Absolutely — that's encouraged. Download the instruction set (also linked on the home screen) and hand it to the AI assistant of your choice; it walks the assistant through turning your own material into a pack you can load. Packs you make from your own content are yours. (The app, its design, and the pack format are mine, but the content you bring into it is entirely your own.)

Is any of this medical advice?

No. Study Suite and its packs are educational material for exam preparation only — not medical advice, and never a basis for real decisions about real patients. It's also in beta, so content can contain errors or go out of date. Always check against your own curriculum and trusted sources.

How does Practice decide the order of questions?

Questions you've never answered come first. Ones you've answered before go to the end — the ones you got wrong last time ahead of the ones you got right — and they're marked on the question map. Each starts clear, with View prior answer if you want to see what you picked before. Prefer only new ones? Turn on Unanswered questions only when you set up Practice. Skip moves on without counting a question as seen.

Can I leave an exam and come back to it?

Yes. Leave part-way and the exam is saved, with the timer paused. Tap Exam to Resume — or Start fresh, which keeps the questions you'd answered (you can look back at them under Past exams) and sets up a new exam that avoids them.

What are topics?

Topics are the main subjects each week covers — anywhere from about 6 to 20 per week. They're what you choose from in Review, what you can narrow Practice and Exam to, and one way to weight an exam. Each question and card also carries a smaller label for its exact point.

What's the Pharmacology view?

A drug index built from every pack you have switched on. Each drug gets its use, mechanism, dosing, cautions, adverse effects, monitoring and interactions, grouped by drug class, with links back to the week and topic guide that teach it.

What does sync do?

Sign in on each of your devices — phone, laptop, tablet — and your packs and progress stay in step automatically. Changes sync in the background a few seconds after you make them, and whenever you open the app. Offline? Keep studying; it catches up when you're back online. It's the automatic version of Backup all.

Do I have to make an account?

No. Choose Use without an account and everything works exactly as before — free, offline, on your device. Your progress just stays in that one browser, so use Backup all now and then. You can create an account any time from the account menu at the top right of the homepage.

Does sync cost anything?

Sync is free during the beta. It's the one feature that needs a server running around the clock, so it may become a paid option one day. If it does, you'll get at least 30 days' notice in the app, your account stays, and the app keeps working without sync. Everything you can do on your own device stays free.

How do I create an account?

From the welcome screen or the account menu, choose Create an account. During early access you'll need your access code. You'll get a recovery code straight away — save it in a password manager or somewhere safe.

Can you see my synced data?

No. Sync is end-to-end encrypted: your data is scrambled on your device before it's uploaded, and only the scrambled version is stored. The key that unlocks it never leaves your devices. That means I can't read your synced data — not for support, not for anything — because I simply don't have the key.

What if I forget my password?

Choose Forgot password? when signing in and we'll email you a link to set a new one. Then enter your recovery code to unlock your synced data — nothing is lost.

What if I lose both my password and my recovery code?

Your synced copy can't be unlocked by anyone — including me. That's the whole point of end-to-end encryption. But your studying isn't gone: the data on your devices is untouched, and any Backup all file still works. Reset your password, choose Start fresh, and sign in on the device where you last studied — its data becomes your new account copy.

What if two devices change at the same time?

Nothing is overwritten without asking. You'll see both copies side by side — when each last changed, how many cards you've studied, and the size — and choose which to keep. Keep both saves the account copy as a backup file first.

What does an account store, and is it private?

The minimum: your email address, your encrypted study data, and a few details needed to run the account. No selling data, no ads, no tracking. The Privacy Policy lists everything.

How do I delete my account?

Account menu → Delete account. It's instant and permanent, and your data on your devices stays where it is.
